Cue List-based audio and video playback control
StageCUE is software for preparing and running concerts, theatre productions, broadcasts, conferences, and other events where media content must be triggered at the right moment and in a predefined sequence.
The Cue List, playback parameters, and action sequence are saved together.
Preparation, playback, pause, and stop are available without switching between players.
The next Cue can wait for the GO command or execute according to predefined logic.
Large timer, Ready, Playing and Pause states, plus fast keyboard commands.
The Cue List represents the event script, not just a collection of files
Each list item represents a specific action. The Cue order follows the flow of the program, production, or concert. The operator selects the next item, checks its status, and triggers it with the GO command.
Cue List
The list shows the item number, type, name, duration, Preroll, and status. Cues can be moved and combined into groups.
Editing without extra windows
The Cue name and Preroll value can be edited directly in the interface. Double-clicking an item is used for renaming, not triggering.
Selected item parameters
Each Cue can have a name, Preroll, volume, simultaneous playback mode, and an action after completion.
Project saving
StageCUE warns about unsaved changes when closing the program to prevent accidental loss of the prepared show script.
Control of the current media and the next action
During operation, the operator can see the active file name, status, elapsed time, and remaining time. Controls remain available from the bottom panel, the keyboard, and assigned MIDI commands.
GO
Triggers the selected Cue. The main command is available via the button and the Space key.
Pause
Pauses audio or video at the current position and resumes playback from the same point. The command is available via the button, the P key, and MIDI.
Stop Track and Stop All
You can stop the current track or all active playback. When audio is stopped, a short Fade Out is applied so the sound does not end with an abrupt click.
Timer and status
The TIMER panel shows Ready for GO, Playing or Pause, the file name, progress, and playback time values.
Key information stays in view
Different actions are combined in a single list
The current project interface includes the following item types.
Audio file
Track playback with volume, Preroll, simultaneous start, and post-playback action settings.
Video file
Video playback to a selected monitor through a separate Video Out window.
Wait
A timed pause between actions in the show sequence.
Note
Service text information for the operator inside the Cue List.
Group
Combines multiple items into a structured block within the show script.
Stop
Command to stop the selected playback or all active playback.
Timecode
Use of LTC Timecode to link actions to an external timeline.
MIDI command
Assignment of external control and use of MIDI within the show sequence.
Dedicated Video Out for the selected display
Video content is displayed full-screen on the selected monitor. The playback window remains on the selected screen, the background turns black, and the cursor is hidden so that Windows interface elements do not appear in the output.
Monitor selection
The Video Out display is selected in Settings and restored the next time the application starts.
Full-screen playback
Video opens on the selected display without window borders or a visible cursor.
Safe exit
Full-screen mode can be exited with the Stop command or the Esc key. After stopping, the output remains black.
Video timer
Video content displays a playback counter and the correct status of the current Cue.
Works with Windows audio devices
StageCUE is designed to work with both built-in audio devices and professional audio interfaces and software-based network audio drivers.
Multichannel playback
The application is suitable for projects where audio files need to be played through multiple output channels.
Dante Virtual Soundcard
Can be used as an audio device when the driver is correctly installed and configured.
Waves SoundGrid Driver
Supported through a compatible Windows system audio driver.
No permanent internet connection required
A permanent internet connection is not required for normal project preparation and media playback.

A single Windows tool for recurring and touring events.
A practical tool that evolves with real-world production needs
StageCUE is developed as an independent Windows product for both Russian-speaking and international users.
The Installer is intended for standard installation, while the Portable version can run without a traditional installation, including from external storage.
Windows 10 or Windows 11, at least 8 GB of RAM, and approximately 300 MB of free storage space for the application.
Bugs are fixed, the interface is refined, and new features are added based on real-world use and user feedback.
The application does not send projects, media files, settings, or usage statistics to the developer.
Builds, news, and update information are published on the official website and in the StageCUE Telegram community.
Prepare your Cue List and test StageCUE with your own project
Installer and Portable versions are available. Before using the software at an event, a full rehearsal with the actual production equipment is recommended.
